Hello There! Thanks for choosing us. Filmoticon-Spacelab doesn't have a traditional shop and we only accept film rolls for developing through a drop-off. We found this method to be safer and more convenient for most clients.

 Q. How do I send my rolls?

 A. You may do it via courier (ex. Careem or Fetchr) or hand it over yourself personally at the building security (reception).

 

Q. How do I securely transport my film?

A. Please enclose the roll/s in a sealed envelope together with:

  · Duly filled out order form

· Full payment (we will not process your roll unless full payment is received)

· Label the envelope with the below information:

Q. - Do you have an option to pay online?

 A. - Yes. Please contact us for Bank Account Details.

 

Q. - Until what time is the drop-off timing?

A. - The drop-off timing is 24/7 so you may do so at your convenience.

 

Q. - What is the resolution of the scans?

A. - Basic (1037 x 1565) / High Resolution (4492 x 6774) .

Q. - What scanners do you use?

A. - Noritsu HS-1800, Noritsu LS-600, Epson V850, Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED, Pakon F335, Pakon F135+ and Kodak RFS 3570 Plus .

Q. - How long does it take to process my films?

A. -It normally takes 4 to 6 days to properly process your films. Depending on the workload, sometimes it can go beyond that and sometimes it takes a shorter time.

Q. - Do you use fresh chemicals?

A. - Yes.

 

Q. - What water do you use?

 A. - Distilled water.

 

Q. - What happens if my film turns out blank?

A. - We will refund you AED 10 which is the scanning fee. We will only charge you of developing.

 

Q. - What is your liability in case of film loss (due to mishandling) or film damage due to processing error?

A. - In such incidents, we commit to return your payment in full.

 

Q. - What happens to my negatives after processing?

A. - You will need to arrange a courier pick up from us to retrieve them or collect them personally. Please take note that due to space challenges, we will only keep your negatives maximum of 30 days from the time it was processed and post that period we reserve the right to dispose them without further consent from the owner.

 

Q. - Some of my photos have sensitive materials, how can I be certain that my work will not be shared elsewhere?

A. - We value the work of our clients and if you feel you need some assurance about the privacy of your work, we can sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) if needed.

 

Q. - Are you a licensed business here in the UAE?

A. - Yes we are a fully-licensed FZE Company here in the UAE.

 

Q. - What machines do you use for processing film?

A. - We use Noritsu QSF-V30 for C41 and Phototherm SuperSidekick SSK-4V for Black and White.

 

Q. - What chemicals do you use for film processing?

A. - Kodak, Fujifilm and Ilford.

 

Q. - Do you offer push or pull services?

A. - Yes. But you have to send us minimum of 2 rolls or the number of rolls should be divisible by 2 (example: 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.) and submitted rolls have to be processed the same to accommodate this request. We will not charge you extra for this. Otherwise we will charge you AED 5 per stop if single roll.

Q. - I am in super excited to get my films back, do you accommodate same day developing?

A. - Yes. But there will be an extra AED 40 per roll charge.
